Put Your Car Keys Beside Your Bed at Night

Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents, your Dr's office, the check-out girl at the market
, everyone you run across. Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.

This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage.

If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won't stick around. After a few seconds, all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

P.S. I am sending this to everyone I know because I think it is fantastic. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone. My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there's a problem.

Please pass this on even IF you've read it before. It's a reminder.

eBay FREE Listings: Sept 18-22, 2012

Last Monday, I received an email from eBay.com:

It was only recently when I found out that there are actually Seller Fees on eBay because the last time I sold anything was half a decade ago, when my account was still registered at eBay.ph. Well I guess that was back in the day, and besides, eBay needed to get at cut from their account holders' sales somehow.

But the good news is, eBay allows you to list for FREE every month for up to 50 listings. But on top of the free listings per month, there are occasional promos like this where you can do 50,000 auction-style listings for a certain period. In this case, it's from September 18-22, 2012. Now that's a lot, but with restrictions, of course.

Now where should I begin? I have a lot of sorting of clutter to do and maybe be able to earn a bit of profit, which I highly doubt! Since we barely have time to organize garage sales or go to the nearest donation center, might as well take advantage of this offer! And later on see the stuff we are selling.

Be Wise, Don't Plagiarize!

Wow, after so many months, I am able to post something here. lol

Currently, my little sister Lesley has this project for her journalism class, and it would be of great help to view her and her classmate's "masterpiece". It's simple and direct to the point (and it doesn't even take 2 minutes to view!)

My thoughts? Well, plagiarism is something I do take seriously...especially in blogging (not that I really blog that much). I don't really think I own anything I post, except the experiences and travels I had. And of course, that doesn't mean anybody can just copy what I publish.

Please enjoy! :)

I'm Back!! Well, sort of

I know I am now one of the many notorious, delinquent bloggers who fail to update the site. Pitiful it may sound, but I may have been overwhelmed by the recent things that happened. This just goes to show that I have a life too!

With the rise in popularity of social networking sites, as well as micro-blogging sites, a quick status update seems to be enough to keep people on the loop. I don't know about you, but posting a single or a bunch of photos, status updates, and quotes can solicit a lot of responses and "likes" almost in real-time, making it a whole lot easier for me to interact with viewers. Moreover, posting the very same things in my blog can make it seem redundant.

Anyway, that's not why I am here right now. I am posting an entry simply because I have this luxury of time, which by the way, should be put in sleeping.

Notice the entry before this, it was in January 2011 and now it's already almost the end of August 2011! So what the heck happened in those 7 months?

To those who care enough to even want to know, or just to the plain curious, I would like to show all of you the product of my silence in burberry cheesecake:
My pride and joy: baby-d

Isn't he a cutie patootie?

But this doesn't mean the end of my blogging career (if we can call it such). I just felt like taking a very looooong break and focus more on my little angel. To those who have been waiting for my semi-useful posts, I apologize. I will try harder to see to it that I keep everyone updated. For now, I will try at least a post per week. :)
