Being earth-friendly need not carry a price tag every time you attempt to be on the "green" side! We must admit that sometimes the "green" stuff or the once that have already been recycled are more expensive than the generic items we see on shelves and groceries. But each and every time we could help Mother Nature, and be frugal at the same time, I'm all for it! 

One of my favorite stores would have to be Target, and they are reported to not only promote Earth Day, but they're gonna give away some free stuff to help its consumers for awareness.

Target to Celebrate Earth Day with Giveaway of 1.5 Million Reusable Bags

I super miss the SALE events back home

I remembered how me and my family back home literally "fought" for items during sale events -- especially that CROCS Mega Sale held a few months back!

For those back home in the Philippines, I hope you don't miss out on this. I'm pretty sure you guys are all covered!

CROCS Megasale @ The Megatent 2010

After last year's crazy sale, Crocs will once again be having its Megasale at the Megatent! When I said it was crazy, it was indeed crazy!! Mom practically became an instant "mandirigma" (warrior) because of this Mega event (okay, mega seems to be a tiring word now). But really, Crocs could be as low as PHP500 or even less, depending on the style and color. I think our total purchase last year was like PHP5,000, which was around 9-10 pairs of mixed styles and designs for the whole family. Since summer is obviously around the corner, Crocs would have to be the perfect pair for outdoor activities.

Here are some tips when going to the Megatent: 

1. Plan on the designs/styles that you wish to purchase prior to the trip so that you already know what you'll need when you get there.
2. Early birds get the best worm. Lines could be very long even as early as 8:00am, but once the tent opens, it's really quick to get inside. If you do not want to bother lining up that early, it's fine if running out of stock for the pair of your choice is the least of your worries.
3. Avoid wearing or bringing Crocs inside the tent. They have prohibited entry for those who wore them the previous year. There had been some incidents where people wearing Crocs may have instantly "exchanged" it the illegal way.
4. Free entrance for Citi cardholders, do not forget to bring this if you have one.
5. Prepare cash -- though they accept credit cards, the possibility of having offline terminals could be your worst nightmare after the long queue.
6. Know where you should queue up! Look for express lanes, credit card lanes for a quicker exit.
7. Have a family member queue up at the cashier especially if the lines are starting to get long, and yet you are barely halfway your shopping.
